us for different reasons but here are some of the advantages we see:
Availability Without the Cost
It
could be said that our service is like having someone available
full-time but without the cost. We can generally respond to
urgent
requests imediately (depending on workload at the time). If using
on-site staff you would have to employ them for the whole time you
might need them or alternately book them in with no guarantee of
availability. If your on-site
person only visits periodically (e.g. weekly or monthly), then you have
to wait for the next visit.
No Callout Fees or Minimum Charge
We
have no callout fees or minimum charge for our online work. We only
charge for the hours we do & provide a summary of the work done
with our monthly invoice.
Less Infrastructure
With on-site
staff you need to provide the office space, the computers etc.
With our service we provide all that.
Data
Backup & Maintenance
We
provide off-site data backup of MYOB data. We also ensure
your
MYOB data file is updated with the latest tax tables or feature updates.
No Setup Fees
There
are no setup fees for our service. We loan the server
&
scanner at no cost, confident that our clients will be happy with our
service & use us for long enough for us to recoup the cost.
No Hidden Costs
At first an
on-site employee may seem like a very cost effective option.
There are
however many hidden costs such as super, leave, workers' compensation,
payroll administration, office space, equipment depreciation etc.
It would not be unrealistic to add 50% to the base pay rate
so
for example $25ph suddenly becomes $37.50ph
Secure Remote Access
Clients
can access their accounting data from home or while travelling.
Some client's have interstate offices & use this for their
sales
staff.
Different Service Options
Full Service:
This is where we handle the entire accounting/bookkeeping process
except the year end tax return. Smaller companies tend to
fall
into this category.
Staff Support:
This is where the business already has accounts staff & we
provide
extra support. An example of this might be where the client
requires a more senior person to produce the month end reports or the
Business Activity Statements. The benefit of this is that
the
client can employ more junior staff to do the majority of the work
& only use more qualified help when needed.
Temporary:
At times clients have used us to cover work while their regular staff
are away on leave.
